Longbottom was a pure-blood wizard who began school at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft.Neville is a shy introvert who is simply not that good at magic, and is constantly picked on by Draco Malfoy and his gang.The subject he loves so much he will later go on to teach it at Hogwarts. He later marries classmate Hannah Abbott, another shy girl from Hufflepuff.He was an important member of Dumbledore's Army who fought in the Battle of the Department of Mysteries, the Battle of the Astronomy Tower, and the Battle of Hogwarts. Neville reforms Dumbledore's Army with Ginny and Luna, and spends much of his seventh year as the group's interim leader in Harry's absence, helping students who are tormented under the new regime. When Voldemort returns with Harry's apparently lifeless body, Neville breaks free from the crowd to attack Voldemort. However, he is immobilised by Voldemort's Full Body-Bind curse, after which the Sorting Hat is placed on his head and set on fire. Neville later breaks free of the curse, and decapitates Nagini with Godric Gryffindor's sword, thus destroying the final Horcrux.He was a wizard who would have the power to vanquish Voldemort and who would be born "as the seventh month dies.He is very good friends with Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Luna Lovegood.
