Laagi Tujhse Lagan is an Indian television series that airs on Colors TV.It is a love story set in rural gangster background of Nakusha, a beautiful girl who is forced to hide her beauty with black makeup due to circumstances.The show is extremely popular with Indian audience and is regularly listed in TRP charts.
The story unfolds with the slums of the city where an ordinary woman baabi resides with her family comprising of her husband, ganpat, a drunkard, her ten year old son sethji and her young daughter Nakusha. Nakusha has a very ugly face and is often teased by her basti's [slum] children for it. though she has an ugly face she has a heart of gold and is very caring towards her family. baabi is a hard working woman who earns money with great difficulty whereas on the other hand her husband just spends it buying alcohol. This leads to shortage of money. Sethji gets biased by local goons to rob the steel plates of car in order to earn money. while doing so sethji is caught by inspector malmal more, an imposter and corrupt middle aged man. in an attempt to save him nakusha too lands in trouble both fall into a huge gutter pit. he orders other inspectors to splash water on their bodies so that he could see their faces and surprise beholds all the basti's people as nakusha turns out to be extremely beautiful. it is then revealed that baabi purposely used to colour nakusha's skin to hide her beauty from the dark world outside. she had lost her elder daughter due to the same reason. however malmal more starts eying on nakusha and decides to make her his wife. he forces the decision on her family members. although ganpat and sethji are very happy about it due to expensive gifts being showered on them by more, baabi gets suspicious and her further investigation leads her to find out that more will be using nakusha after marriage and then sell her for prostitution in dubai, just like he did with other girls. immediately baabi and ganpat leave the city with sethji and nakusha. baabi quickly colours nakusha's face and skin and makes her look ugly once again. more however reaches on time and grabs nakusha with him on the beach that is where Nakusha encounters Dutta Sriram Patil, a powerful gangster of Mumbai, and his assistant baji rao patil. dutta saves nakusha from more and decides to drop her family back to their village. however ganpat sees the bag full of cash in dutta's car, and decides to grab it when right time comes. he doesn't have to wait long as dutta and baaji get injured in a skirmish with goons. he tries to run away with it but nakusha and baabi stop him from doing so. they take bhau to the hospital where he is saved. bhau thus owns his life to nakusha and gets her to stay in his Mansion. Nakusha starts calling him sahab. he offers job to ganpat in his wine mart and baabi joins as maid. it doesn't take long for nakusha to discover that although being a gangster dutta has a heart of gold. In dutta's mansion resides his mother aai sahab and his step sisters kala, lila and roops. kala and lila are already married. kala's husband is kind hearted whereas lila's is selfish and eyes dutta's wealth. Kala is extremely greedy and like her brother-in-law too eyes dutta's wealth. aai saheb arranges for dutta's marriage to supriya who actually is having an affair with with someone else. meanwhile nakusha starts loving dutta but also realises that dutta treats her nothing more than a maid. taking advantage of the situation Kala helps supriya run from the wedding mandap and puts the entire blame on Nakusha. dutta goes mad and to everyone's shock, drags her to the wedding mandap announcing that he will marry her. after the wedding he tells nakusha that she will just be treated as a maid but now even worse. over the time seeing nakusha's selfless love he starts to fall in love with her. naku too decides its the time to open her secret to dutta and show him her beautiful face. however her mother stops her from doing so. Anna, dutta's rival comes to know the truth about nakusha and tries to force her to marry him. anna's wife tries to help naku escape but fails. finally dutta reaches at anna's house and comes face to face with the pretty nakusha but doesn't care a bit ss he wants to see his wife. seeing dutta's selfless love for his wife despite knowing that she is ugly makes Anna's wife kill her husband for being unfaithful. Naku is saved however dutta doesn't know her secret. later in a dramatic sequence he discovers it but tells naku that he will never forgive her for lying to him he also starts doubting that she must have been having extra marital affairs. Kala adds to his doubts by instigating him against Nakusha. however in the end he discovers about Kala and Sudarshan's evil intentions and disposes them out of the house. once again he and Nakusha unite and finally the king and queen of patil wadi start ruling.howeve
