Fox History & Traveller is an Indian cable and satellite channel launched by Fox Channels (India) Pvt Ltd., a division of Fox International Channels. This channel is also available in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bhutan. The channel is mainly dedicated to history. The channel aims to present a perspective of the world through the eyes of Indians with the channel managed and programmed locally in India to ensure a fresh and relevant on-air presentation.
This channel marks the entry of FOX brand into the Indian market. Initially Fox History & Traveller was known as Fox History & Entertainment which replaced The History Channel India on November 22, 2008 becoming the first Fox Network branded channel available in India after the agreement between A&E and [Fox International Channels (US)] ended on November 21, 2008. FOX Channels (India) Pvt Ltd., a subsidiary of Fox International Channels has also launched FX, Fox Crime and Baby TV on March 25, 2009 after acquiring downlink rights.Fox History and Traveller has changed its logo at 21:00 IST on 18th July 2011. This channel has introduced new shows as well.
