Central University of Bihar has been established in 2009 by the Government of India under the enactment of the Central Universities Act, 2009 (25 of 2009)

Central University of Bihar offers M.Sc. in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Mathematics, Statistics and M.A in Counselling Psychology, Development Studies & Communication & Media Studies.

Central University of Bihar has 14 Schools of Studies. Three Schools with six Centre/Departments are operational with Master Programme.
